Welcome to this web site for the Law Library at the Supreme Court of Western
Australia connecting users to the library catalogues and providing access and
information to services for Legal Practitioners.
The Law Library is situated at the
Supreme Court of Western Australia, Stirling Gardens, Perth, with a Branch
Library at the Central Law Courts.
The Law Library is owned and operated by the Legal Practice Board of Western
Australia. The role of the Law Libraries is to provide a comprehensive legal
reference and research facility for courts and the legal profession of Western
Australia.
The Libraries are open to eligible users for
reference purposes. Texts and law reports may only be borrowed on a short term basis
for use in court.
Although the Law Library is not open to the public, certain users such as law
students, and persons representing themselves in court, may use the library after
prior consultation with the Law Librarian.
Library News
2012 Tours of the Law Library for Graduates
The Law Library at the Supreme Court will conduct orientation tours for Graduates (Articled Clerks) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9.15 am throughout March and April beginning Wednesday 7 March 2012. The tours are of approximately one hour in duration. A short visit to the Practitioners Branch Library on Level 6, CLC Building, is also available in the tour as an optional extra.
Bookings are necessary as group numbers are limited.

Inter Library Loan charges
Please be advised that, as from 1 July 2011, the Law Library at the Supreme Court of Western Australia will be increasing ILL document delivery charges to the following:
Core: $16.50
Rush: $33.00
Express: $49.50
CPD Program
The CPD Program for 2012 is now available. Sole practitioners are especially encouraged to attend.
